## Data methodology

- Reports are submitted by community members for a selected McDonald's store and observed hour.
- A report can name one or more toys, report the current promotion toys as sold out, and optionally describe store policies.
- Timestamps are stored in UTC. The interactive tracker displays times in the visitor's device time zone.
- Newer reports at the same store provide updated evidence; older reports remain historical observations.
- Browser location permission is optional and is used to center the map. It is not stored as the reporter's personal location.
- Availability can change at any time. Call a store before making a special trip.
